This week we are looking at Carnivores, Herbivores and Omnivores. Before you start today's lesson why don't you tell your adult what you already know about these animal food groups.
To start the lesson I would like you to explore the following fact file from Discovery Espresso:
Then I would like you to look at the attached PDF/PowerPoint to further your understanding of the types of animals found in each group. Some of the facts might surprise you!
After this I would then like you to have a go at completing one of the provided activities. The animal sorting cards provide prompts to help you decide which food group each animal belongs to, where as the second activity relies on your current knowledge of certain animals. If you would like to challenge yourself by completing the second activity then you could also practise your research skills to help you identify which animal goes where.
