#Let Girls Play - Friday 8th March 2024

A brilliant effort from our Year 3/4 girls football team who took part in a tournament at Telford College and narrowly lost in the semi finals on penalties

Year 3/4 girl's football. We are through to the quarter final after a brilliant game vs Shortwood Primary.

Well done to the Year 3/4 girls football team who made it through the to the round of 16.

Well done to our Y3/4 Girls Football team who got their first win yesterday.

Well done to the Year 6 girls football team who played in a really tough match against Lawley Village.

Our Y5/6 Football team had an unfortunate semi-final loss in a very competitive game. Well done everyone!

#LETGiRLSPLAY 2023

Well done to the Year 5 girls football team who took part in a tournament at Telford College. We played some really hard matches in our group stage and narrowly lost to the overall finalists. The girls character was incredible as they just laughed and smiled all afternoon.

A brilliant effort by our Year 5/6 girl's football team yesterday, they lost 3-1 in a great game against St Peters Edgmond.

Well done to the Year 3/4 girls football team who beat Meadows Primary School in a brilliant game of football. They are now through to the quarter finals!

On 9th March 2022 all of the girls at Lilleshall Primary School played football as part of the Let Girls Play the biggest ever football session. Our girls take part in regular football training opportunities and matches with local schools. All pupils have football training with a fully qualified football coaches over a school year.

Well done to the Year 5/6 Football team who beat hadley 6-4 last Thursday 4.2.16. We await news of who we will play next in the next round.

 

  • Football coaching is provided every Monday afternoon by Telford AFC.
  • Years 5 & 6 took part in football during the autumn term
  • Year 3 & 4 are currently taking part
  • Years 1 & 2 will have football coaching in the summer term
  • As well as this, we offer a lunchtime football club and an afterschool club. Both clubs take place on a Friday.
  • Year 5 and 6 entered a football tournament in the Autumn term. There is also a year 5 & 6 and 3 & 4 Girls tournament due to take place later this term.
