Working Together for Excellence and Enjoyment

Home Learning Spring 2020

Hello Year Two!

I hope you are all well. I have been so impressed to see the fantastic start you have made to your 'Home Learning' and have enjoyed seeing the pictures you have emailed to me - thank you.

I have put some resources on the website for you to access and these will be updated weekly on a Tuesday. You will see there are folders relating to different areas of the curriculum, useful links and a Picture News folder with lots of activities for you to complete.

In the maths folder there is also a link to White Rose resources. They have prepared teaching videos and activities you can do at home. The link relates to the Year 2 maths curriculum and a different unit is covered each week with daily activities. I have also created a What's been going on folder so we can share what we have all been up to.

You can keep in touch with me using the email lilleshall.year2@taw.org.uk.  I look forward to hearing from you all telling me what you have been doing and don't forget I am still here to help if you have a question about anything or you just want to say "hello."

Keep working hard, have fun and stay safe! I am missing seeing you all everyday.

From Mrs McCormick and Mrs Jones

*NEW 13.7.20* Hello Year Two. I hope you are all well and you have had a good week. I cannot believe we are in the last week of term and this is the last week for me putting activities up for you to do at home! I have added  more activities for you to complete this week. They can be found in the Reading, White Rose, Internet Safety and Picture News pages. I have also added another set of spellings to help you get ready for Year 3. Don't forget to keep accessing the daily lessons on BBC BItesize too, we are enjoying doing those in school.

I am so impressed with how hard you have been working at home and I want you all to make sure you have a good summer break. Hopefully some of you might even be able to get away for a holiday. As well as the activities I have put up for this week I have also added another page of fun activities and challenges if you want to access any of the during the summer break.

Thank you to those children who have sent in a video message for their friends, I will put these together and send them out at the end of the week. I have loved being your Year Two teacher and I am sorry we did not get more time together but I know you are going to be a fabulous Year Three class and Miss Jenkins is looking forward to welcoming you all back in September.

Stay safe,  and enjoy your summer smiley
