Author Workshop 1.2.23 Tracey Corderoy
We were very fortunate to have a visit today from the well known children's author Tracey Corderoy. We took part in a workshop listening to her talk about her inspiration for writing stories and listened to her tell the story of Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam, explaining her thoughts and ideas for the story. We then drew the character Slippery Sam together and then shared another story Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam Pirates Ahoy. After that we spit into two teams; Shifty McGifty's and Slippery Sam's to play a game. Tracey then very kindly signed our copies of the books. We all thoroughly enjoyed the morning and are looking forward to writing our own picture books as part of this year's Bookfest Readers to Writers Competition.
