In preparation for a 'new type' of Summer, I thought it would be beneficial to share the following PowerPoint on 'social distancing' with your son/daughter. At this age, the current situation can be difficult to fully understand and the need for 'social distancing' can be a little confusing. For those of you who would like a way of explaining the importance of social distancing I have attached a Twinkl PowerPoint that you can discuss with your family.
I have also shared the below video link with you as I think it provides great inspiration about how we can still make people feel loved and special without physical contact.
Following both of these activities I would highly recommend asking your son/daughter to create a poster on social distancing and asking them to include the ways in which they can still enjoy playing with their friends and family without being too close to one another.
