An overview of sporting achievements for 2020 -2021
For four years the school has achieved Active Mark Gold and achieved Platinum in 2019. Despite significant disruptions to sporting activities, the school teams in cricket, orienteering, football, hockey and basketball all enjoyed successes. The school archery and tennis teams both won gold in the Shropshire School Games and are now county champions for their sport. The school has increased the percentage of pupils who can swim 25 metres unaided, can tread water and who can self-rescue by the time they leave at the end of Yr6 to 92% of pupils. Sport has remained high profile and the school has continued to harness the opportunities on offer for out pupils.
