Maths

In Maths we will be applying our knowledge of Multiplication and Division in order to solve Pirate Problems!

Monday - Lesson 1

Captain Ruby is preparing for a long and dangerous journey. Can you help her to prepare the ships by using your multiplication knowledge? Please write your answers in your maths/exercise book. You can either read the questions onscreen or you can print them off to stick in your books. smiley

*You may want to look over your multiplication knowledge by using the Twinkl PowerPoint below and/or you might want to revisit the work we did in Weeks 5 and 6 of your home learning journey (the links to these pages are also below).

Tuesday- Lesson 2

We have decided to do some re-cap work on 'Equal and Unequal Groups' in class today, so I have adapted the class PowerPoint for you to look through at home. The starters are available to print or you can discuss them with your son/daughter on screen. The purpose of this lesson is to ensure that the children know exactly what to look for when they are assessing whether a group is equal to or unequal to another group(s).

I have also attached a PDF with the questions we will be using within the lesson. We will be working through most of them as a class, so I have left the guidance attached on how to approach these types of questions when working on them at home. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Wednesday- Lesson 3

Due to the nature of the new routine and the pace at which we are working in class, we have not yet completed our work on 'Equal and Unequal Groups'.  With this in mind I thought it would be best to hold back on sharing the next class activities and to provide you with some alternative options  to choose from dependent on your required level. The BBC Bitesize lessons are for those of you who feel you would like to re-cap counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Whereas the the Twinkl challenge and questions offer problem solving opportunities for those of you who feel secure with your knowledge.
