JRSO
Junior Road Safety Officers
Our JRSO’s consist of 3 children from Year 6, 2 of which children have represented Lilleshall since Year 3!
The JRSO’s are voted for by the pupils and are there to help raise awareness of the road dangers around the village.
We have a great relationship with Telford and Wrekin Road Safety Team who come into school to assist us to lead curriculum led activities, competitions and other ways to raise awareness of safety around our roads and school.
We have won awards across the years such as achieving GOLD standard with the Modeshift Stars scheme and also winning a Denso design a road safety poster competition.
Our aim and priority is to keep our children safe on the roads!
Some of the Telford and Wrekin Road Safety Team came in this morning to help our JRSO's award prizes for the Big Walk and Wheel.
It was Scooter Skills for Our Year 1's today (12th March 2024)
Pedestrian training for our Year 2's today ( Wednesday 6th March 2024)
Some of our Y4's did their Level 1 Bikeability training 1st February 2024.
Traffic calming measures are now being implemented throughout the village - 20 is plenty!
Our JRSO's unveiling our new road safety board to help us to think about how to cross a road safely.
