We held our first meeting as a committee today and discussed what is expected as a role of a Sports Ambassador and what skills that will be learnt on the way to help achieve the overall aims and goals. They are incredibly excited and cannot wait to get started.

Our Sports Ambassadors are made up of Year 6 pupils that show a passion for sport as well as the ability to help other children progress in their own skills. Their job is to help lead and facilitate sporting activities and games throughout breaktimes and lunchtimes to allow other pupils to learn and have fun. This year we have signed up to the Play Maker Award which provides the ambassadors with a set of fantastic resources that will help guide them in becoming a brilliant sports leader and provide them with beneficial life skills.

Lilleshall Primary School's Sports Ambassadors 2023-2024

The sport leaders have been busy helping Mr Brassington in his Tennis P.E sessions. They all had the opportunity to lead the warm up with their own small group of pupils. They all did brilliant and it was fantastic to see their confidence develop throughout the session.

Meet Lilleshall's Sports Ambassadors 2022-2023

The Sport Leaders have had a brilliant opportunity with helping Mr Brassington run the Reception's P.E sessions. They all have each had the opportunity to lead an activity as well as supporting children on a one to one basis.

The Sports Ambassadors have been doing a great job at KS1 playtimes with providing a range of different activities such as handball, catching challenges and javelin. The younger children have been having a fantastic time trying out new sports that they would not usually have the chance to do.

New Sports Equipment.

The sport leaders ordered some sports equipment using money we have raised through sports4schools. They were so excited and couldn't wait to use it and show others how to use it. We are still waiting on more items to come such as Netball posts. We cannot wait!
