Reading
At Lilleshall, we focus on the importance of reading for enjoyment as well as to further our knowledge of the world. Children have a fantastic library available in the classroom which is regularly updated and has a wealth of genres for the children to choose from. Pupils should be reading as often as possible in order for reading to become embedded as part of their daily lives and we encourage children to change their books regularly.
Next term, Spring 2026, we will be taking part in the Shropshire Bookfest project where we will be reading and reviewing a range of books that have been selected from a wider selection of books by children from different primary schools including our Year 6 children. Look out for the information which will be sent out after Christmas.
