At Lilleshall, we focus on the importance of reading for enjoyment as well as to further our knowledge of the world. Children have a fantastic library available in the classroom which is regularly updated and has a wealth of genres for the children to choose from. Pupils should be reading as often as possible in order for reading to become embedded as part of their daily lives and we encourage children to change their books regularly. 

Next term, Spring 2026, we are taking part in the Shropshire Bookfest project. The class will have 6 different books to read and review and they will be able to vote for the book/books that they wish to nominate for the book awards. More information will follow after Christmas!
