Stone Age Experience Day
Today we were visited by two Stone Age men! We journeyed through pre-history right from the Palaeolithic Age to the Neolithic Age. We explored how Stone Age people survived by looking at how hunter-gatherers scavenged for food and made their tools to hunt different types of animals. We got to dress up in Stone Age clothes and accessories made from wood, flint and animal skins. We also looked at many different artefacts, including a mammoth’s tooth which is 27,000 years old! As well as dressing up and learning about Stone Age life, we had the opportunity to create our own cave paintings and make our own stone spear tools! A truly eye-opening day!
