LF: To use fronted adverbials of place and manner to describe a setting (how and where).
Your task today is to write sentences which describe Pompeii (post-eruption) and include fronted adverbials for how and where. You can use some of the examples in the table above to get you started. Please use the past tense and remember, a fronted adverbial goes at the start of a sentence and it must have a comma to separate it from the main clause.
Example:
From the sea to the sky , ash clouds loomed eerily.
Far away , the cries of survivors echoed through the poisonous air.
