Lesson 2: Write a Poem

Using the new knowledge you learned yesterday, can you write a sound poem about a tsunami which includes onomatopoeias?

You could choose any of the following types of poems:

  • An acrostic poem
  • A rhyming poem
  • A shape poem

First, think of onomatopoeias to describe a tsunami (crash, whoosh, bang) - write them down in a mindmap.

Then create your poem using lots of descriptive language.

You can use one of the templates below or create your own.
