Home Learning 2021

Welcome to the Year 4 Home Learning Page!

Hello Year 4 and welcome to our home learning page, I do hope you are well. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will find all of your home learning. 😊

I understand that this is a difficult time for you again and I am so sorry we can't be in the classroom learning together.

I will however, do everything I can to make sure you are keeping on track and I look forward to receiving all of the wonderful work I know you will complete at home.

Learning will be uploaded to our class page on a weekly basis and I would like you to complete each day's tasks to the best of your ability. Each week will contain Monday-Friday folders and you will find each day's learning by clicking on the appropriate day. To keep up to date with the learning that is taking place in school, I would like you to ensure the following activities are completed daily: Reading, Spellings, Times Table practise, English and Maths. Science will replace English and Maths on a Friday. I will also upload some activities for you to work on in the afternoons.

Please email me a selection of your completed work every Thursday (at least one English and Maths lesson and either topic or Science would be great). If possible, can this be sent as an attachment. Spellings will be uploaded weekly and I would like you to practise these regularly and ask somebody at home to test you on a Friday.  Once I have received your work, I will send feedback to you in an email as quickly as I can.

All I ask is that you try your absolute best to complete as much as you can and email me if you have any questions or find are struggling with any of the work. If you require any resources, such as exercise books, pencils, rulers or glue sticks, please do let us know.

You can contact me on this email address:

Take care and stay safe,

Miss Lorimer

*Daily Tasks*

In addition to your daily tasks (set weekly in the folders below), try to read for 15 minutes a day, practise your spellings and your times tables every day. You can find online activities, games, books, speed tables etc in the folder called "Spellings and Times Tables" on the Year 4 class page. Please email if you need your Times Table Rockstars login details.

*Cursive Handwriting*

Try your best to complete activities using neat, cursive handwriting. Please let school know if you would like a handwriting pen or any other resources to help with your home learning.
